On August 4 – 10, 2019, the final week of International singing competition of Italian opera Competizione dell’Opera took place in the Park of Science and Art "Sirius" in Sochi. The competition was established in 1996 in Europe. The international jury included the heads of major cultural organizations from Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Great Britain, South Korea, Mexico, Chile, Belarus.
More than 70 contestants from all around the world performed during the final week in Sochi a program of opera arias in Italian.
